Audio Book In the Dream House: A Memoir with Free EASY Reading!

Although her writing style and description of abusive behavior are well done, the memoir remains at the level of description. Other than the author’s repeated comment that portraying lesbian abuse demonstrates the humanity of everyone, where is SHE in this relationship? She presents herself as a kind of blank canvas on which the abuse is painted — but how did she process her own experience at the time and later? How did she develop (or not)? The only impression I get is of sex addiction and a bad partner. She is an interesting writer and I would have expected a clearer presentation of self.
