Best Edition Logical Chess: Move By Move: Every Move Explained New Algebraic Edition (Irving Chernev) with FREE MOBI EDITION!

I bought the Kindle version in October of 2020. This was my first chess book and I'm a novice player. I found the book interesting and educational, but with a couple notable problems. The original book, published in the 60's, has been transcribed to algebraic notation. Without this update I would not have purchased the book. The problem is that there are more than a dozen errors in the notation that don't match the board graphics (which were properly sizes and expandable on my iPad). For example, the notation might say Bxc5, but the board diagram shows c5 to be vacant. This then necessitates going back to the last diagram and retracing all the moves, suspecting that I missed something (and many times I did miss a move or read it wrong), but it was very frustrating to finally learn that it was the translated notation that was in error. In fairness to the staff at the publisher that actually did the translation (or the proofreading), I can't imagine a more difficult or boring task! Still, it really diminishes the readers experience.
