Mia Maxwell used to have her dream job. She is a sought after wedding planner on Nantucket, with no shortage of business. But she is struggling a bit to get back to loving her job. So she will be staying with Lisa at the Beach Plum Cove Inn for a while, until her house is renovated. Mia's also worried about her younger sister and best friend Izzy--she has a serious boyfriend who has grown more controlling over the past year.As it turns out, there are several member of the Hodges family that may be in need of Mia's services--she'll be planning not one but two weddings. There are a few road bumps along the way however. Lisa has another long-term guest that she eagerly introduces to Mia. She finds this temporary neighbor equally intriguing and frustrating and she makes it clear that she's not even close to ready to date. She's not sure if she ever will be.

I liked these books overall, the first few more than the later ones where I felt like I needed a cheat-sheet to keep track of the characters and there were too many stories to follow.However I found a few things in the series that started to annoy me after a while, and I hope that Pamela Kelley takes it as constructive criticism from a fan.Too much quiche, and too many meatballs.  And too many descriptions of the foods offered for breakfast at the Beach Plum Inn. Quiche, fresh fruit, bagels, cold cereal. hot coffee. Sometimes coffee cake. Day after day after day after day. Book after book after book.While we're on the subject of food, just because someone makes a dish often doesn't mean that it's famous.  In this series we've heard about Lisa's famous pot roast, famous mimosas and famous lobster quiche, Kate's famous clam dip, Abby's famous stuffed mushrooms, Will's famous Juicy Lucy burgers, Kristen's famous peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, etc.  The word famous isn't necessary!  Great, terrific, well-known, highly regarded, or delicious might be better choices once in a while. Even amazing!Too many women were described as having long, blonde hair.  Do brunettes not visit or live on Nantucket?At times the brand-name dropping felt like product placements, with Bread and Butter Chardonnay and JOSH Cabernet mentioned too often.  And Netflix.  Does no one ever watch anything that's not on Netflix? I know it's an island, but isn't there cable?Looking forward to a quiche-less, meatball-less book six, where the heroine has short brown hair!
