So, first I want to get something out of the way. The price point on this book was a little ridiculous in my mind. Similar comics and graphic novels are $9.99. This one kicked up the price a bit to where I feel a little cheated. Anyway, I will say that I enjoyed this book the best out of the three. I came to appreciate the art style in the first two volumes. However, I came to like the art change in this volume too. The story was okay. I think I enjoyed the character arcs for Aarik and the Lord Admiral the most. The world building in this series leaves a lot to be desired when compared with the other worlds that compose the cosmere. I'm also left not really understanding the Investiture of Taldain other than the basics introduced through the three volumes of this story. How does Sand Mastery relate to the shard of this world? Other than some Easter eggs, how does Autonomy influence this world? Khriss is a world hopper in the cosmere but how does she start that path? I'm a sucker for Sanderson books and I love how interwoven they all are. However, having completed this journey I'd say this is extra and not really needed. Good idea turned cash grab? Maybe. I'd love more stories on Taldain if we can ever get them.
